Never have to worry about finding the fuse wire again, we can install the very latest ‘split load consumer units’, these are fire rated metal boards containing circuit breakers and two R.C.D’s (Residual Current Devices) these provide additional protection to switch off the power in less than half a second if a fault occurs (such as cutting the lead on a hedge trimmer or lawn mower)
During a fault, by having two RCD’s we can minimise disruption of power to other circuits. Often it is even possible to install individual protection devices for vulnerable circuits such as those for alarms, computers, electric gates or even a fridge freezer. No-one wants to come home after a ‘power cut’ to find they have a freezer full of defrosted food.
